Experience the Karoo style of Lorelei Guesthouse
Lorelei Guest House is a newly renovated Karoo-style farmhouse in the middle of George. Its title deed goes all the way back to 1835 and the original section of the house dates from not long after this. That makes Lorelei one of the oldest houses in George! There are a few of these houses dotted over Bodorp that were built as “nagmaal huisies” for the farmers to use during nagmaal. Today it is a modern contemporary house that is rooted in the simplicity of yesteryear. It is centrally located and within walking distance of many amenities, shops and schools.
We aim to bring you fresh organic vegetables and salad when in season. You are welcome to help yourself or ask your host who will gladly assist. Our hens too work hard throughout the year by picking the weeds and grubs from the garden. In return they bless us with the freshest eggs daily - try them!
There are 3x double bedrooms - 2x queen beds and 2x single beds. There are two bathrooms of which one is en-suite. The living area is furnished as a home-from-home. Your fully equipped kitchen is complimented by a delightful veranda with braai and prep area.
Our garden is fully fenced and access is via an electronic gate. Feel free to experience the urban farm garden. When in season there are vegetables and salads and daily fresh eggs from our hens.
